After the Afghanistan T20 series, Shivam Dube proved himself as an all-rounder in the Indian team in the T20 World Cup 2024 which was held in June 2024. He played very well against Spin in this series and hits more sixes as compared to other Indian batters. Shivam Dube played very well in 2 matches out of 3 matches against Afghanistan. He scored 60 runs in just 40 balls in 1st T20 match took 1 wicket just spent 9 runs in 4 overs. In the 2nd T20 match, he scored 63 runs in just 32 balls and took 1 wicket. He proved himself as a good all-rounder in the upcoming T2o world cup 2024 at numbers 4 to 6 posistions in indian batting lineups.Shivam Dube won the Player of the Series Award for his all-round heroics vs Afghanistan.

Former Indian cricketer  Zaheer Khan said he believes there is scope for both Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube to be part of India’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup, starting June 1 in the USA and the West Indies. Shivam Dube not played many matches in USA & WI conditions so he missed his role and burden for indian sqaurds but now his confidence too high so he may played very well as compare to Hardik Pandya who not avaible for this series against played england and Afghanistan. Shivam Dube, who was benched for the 5-match T20I series against Australia and was not selected for the 3-match T20I series against South Africa made a remarkable return for India in the shortest format.
